Coastal dune erosion is a growing concern worldwide, with rising sea levels posing a significant threat to sandy coastlines. Naturally, dunes and beaches migrate inland as part of a dynamic equilibrium. However, in many parts of the world, infrastructure such as buildings, roads, and seawalls impedes this process, leading to what is known as “coastal squeeze.”
